What has been your favorite baby shower food?

I’m planning a baby shower for the first time. What has been your Favorite Food at a shower? I’m thinking it will begin sometime between noon and two pm. Any suggestions? Thank you!

Finger Sandwiches with either tuna, egg salad, chicken salad, or ham and cheese for examples. Egg rolls, small sausages wrapped in the Pillsbury Crescent Rolls, potato salad, macaroni salad.

I went to a baby shower not too long ago and instead of a cake, the hostess made cute decorated cupcakes with pink and blue paper cups and matching icing with sprinkles and a little boy or girl trinket on top. The mother-to-be was having twins (a boy and a girl) so it really turned out nice.

The last time I remember going to a baby shower, the rustic salt and vinegar chips were quite popular. So were the grapes. Finger food in general, I guess. They were also the hip sorta group/family that served beer to the adults..

My suggestion for you: try little sandwiches (with different fillings). They are cute, just a bite or two, and really yummy!

my friend had pigs-in-a-blanket. She cut the hotdogs in half and wrapped them in the dough so that a little round end was sticking out and then made faces on them with mustard and ketchup. They looked like silly swaddled babies.

Nanaimo bars, brownies, fruit squares, cheesecake, cupcakes… anything sweet really you can’t go wrong with a good square! For my sister’s wedding shower I also made a fruit bouquet and it went over quite well so maybe you could do that too. Good luck!

I always like spinach dip. You can put it on french bread and/or crackers.

What I like is finger sandwiches, different types, deviled eggs, meat balls. Mostly finger foods. Also nice to have chips and salsa. M&M’s, small candies with spoons for putting on your plate. Don’t forget vegetable platters. Not all people will eat the junk or some are watching their weight. It is even nice to cut up fruit and cheese, put with tooth picks.

I went to a shower and they served all "mini" foods..baby carrots with dip, mini meatballs, small cocktail sausages in sauce, finger sandwiches, and mini quiches..very cute and fitting, for a "baby" theme.
