When TSHTF will you help your neighbor and politics/religion be damned?

Emergencies are coming, on a seriously massive international scale. When the feces comes down, when the power’s out, you’re looking at your pantry shelves and wishing you had more firewood, [not to mention more money!] will you shuck all the politics, all the sectarian Christian/Muslim religious nonsense, all the Democrats vs Republican nonsense, etc and grit your teeth, stop your car or leave your house, go out in the rain and help that fellow stuck in the mud or the snow? Will you feed the person living in the house across the street or on the street (uh, do you have any food in your car?…) who you don’t know very well and the idiot doesn’t have any food? Will you pick up hitchhikers when you’re looking at your own gas gauge?

famously said "when the going gets weird, the weird turn pro".
Excellent line, and true, but us average "only just a little weird" guys, will we shuck our fears, take a chance, and gain Karma points by helping the next guy? You religious folks; does your faith enable you to Use The Force and put your ass on the line to help someone? Do you use it?

And what about ordinary life, before TSHTF? Do you do this today, or do you figure AAA or some government agency will handle the problem so you can stay on your phone and drive right by?

When TSHTF, no-one around here will care about religion or politics.
They don’t care now, why would they then?
Life will be as it always is. If your barn burns down, you fix it, and don’t expect any help, unless you pay them.
The people are friendly, they just stay to themselves. A person could have 10 sex slaves, and the farm next to them would never know it, because the people they never visited their neighbor.

When that happens- I, being christian, will already be with my Father in heaven and yes I do that for my neighbors now. Your concern belys your complacency. God Bless

I would not change my approach much after TSHTF from what I do now which is
First, take care of my family
Second, take care of those who need help

So, if I have food to share and the neighbor needs help, I would do it, same as I do now. If I didnt have food to share, I would feel for the others, but I would choose my family first as I am sure the neighbors would do were the situation opposite.

Important note, I do not EXPECT my neighbors to help me out. If they do, fine, but I do not count on that.

    You are an idiot.

You will chance the ruination of so many things just so you can say something insulting about something you happen not to believe it. I KNOW your kind. You have no concern for anything to get better. Your hates are stronger than your loves. You want to be Master of the Universe.

We should get rid of you.
