With regards to the internet….Which is best?

I prefer traveling with a laptop because I use a full keyboard frequently in my communications with others. If you want internet light, then go with the smaller units.
Contrary to the mistaken belief that only private campgrounds have internet access, I usually use public resources when I travel: county public libraries, state government waysides in Iowa, private sector restaurants and coffee shops and grocery stores, and the federal leasing areas within the campgrounds in Denali National Park and other locations. Internet is difficult to avoid across the United States. Free WiFi is almost everywhere. I utilized it daily in Eastern Europe for maps, hotel bookings, and touring information.
